You should also take time to visit the Aven Armand limestone caves, home to the tallest stalagmite in the world, which reaches 30 metres.

Haut-Languedoc and Aubrac

There are lots of trails to follow, either on foot or by bike, which are suitable for all levels of walkers. Whether you're a serious hiker or just want a gentle stroll, the Haut-Languedoc National Park should be on your excursion list.

Head east from your Cevennes campsite for a day out at the Aubrac National Park, where the low mountains and miles of pastureland stretch before you. You’ll see the Aubrac cows grazing and if you’re lucky you may spot a stag or deer. Stop off at one of the Aubrac villages for lunch for a chance to chat with the locals and learn more about your holiday location.
