What our customers say
Magnificent campsite in the heart of nature. Superb swimming pool on the banks of the Dordogne. Great family atmosphere, ideal for young and old. Great team of staff, all very committed to their work: the entertainers and staff are all so friendly.
We wanted a relaxing stay with a pool and a few activities before going back to school, all without spending too much 😉. Our stay at Gibanel exceeded our expectations: the setting in the heart of nature with the historic castle by the Dordogne River, our pitch right by the water, the Coco-Sweet (first experience), the pool that helped us cool off, the paddleboarding for our teens, and the warm welcome from the reception team, as well as the restaurant, animation, and maintenance staff.
First stay at this campsite for a 4-day weekend with the family. The location is stunning, and we were lucky enough to stay in a mobile home with a beautiful view of the campsite and the valley. A relaxing setting in the heart of nature, while still having the amenities and Argentat just 10 minutes away. Perfect for relaxing and having fun with the kids, between the playgrounds and the pool. Very friendly staff.

Argentat-sur-Dordogne: a traditional, riverside village
Argentat-sur-Dordogne, capital of the “gabarre,” (traditional, flat-bottomed boat), is a charming village with a warm, authentic atmosphere. After you’ve cycled along the riverbanks, why not take a trip on a “gabarre”. Set off to explore the magnificent landscapes that lie beyond the bridges on board a traditional, wooden boat. And after this local cruise, take time to relax and enjoy the soothing murmur of the river.
