In Pyrénées-Orientales, between Saint-Cyprien and Argelès-sur-Mer, the El Dorado of Elne invites you to bask on a Mediterranean beach. When you visit this Catalan land, leave your jeans and stilettos behind, because all you’ll need here are a fouta towel and your swimsuit.

Outdoor heated pool

Between the boules pitches and tennis courts, the outdoor pool is an invitation to unwind. Make yourself comfortable on a lounger in the shade of a palm tree and put on your sunglasses. This is where your holiday begins! Can you feel the warmth? It’s time to dive into the main pool to swim a few lengths, or just splash around.
The outdoor pool is a place of togetherness, where young and old get together for some relaxing fun. After an action-packed day in the Pyrenees, or when it’s time for an afternoon nap and a good read, let the surrounding water help you unwind.
Paddling pool and slides
Peak season: 10am-8pm
Can you hear the sound of children laughing? It probably comes from the paddling pool and the 26-metre water slide. With its own separate pool at the bottom, this water slide invites you to challenge one another. Children will enjoy the thrill of the speed while parents have the perfect excuse for a leap back in time!
Younger children can cool off in the paddling pool just next to it. Armed with tubes and all sorts of flotation devices, they’ll get used to the water under the enthralled gaze of their parents. The water cabin, the bridge and the totem waterfall make this a playground they can’t get enough of.
Mediterranean beaches
Beaches of Argelès-sur-Mer
This well-known, popular seaside resort boasts 7 km of beach. The atmosphere here is friendly, easy-going and sometimes festive. With sandcastles, beach volleyball and snorkelling to explore the seabed, your action-packed days will be over before you know it!
Beaches of Saint-Cyprien
Barely 3 km from the Sunêlia Le Florida campsite, Saint-Cyprien is the dolce vita hotspot of Catalonia. Via the Grand Market and the street lined with little shops, you’ll arrive at one of the lovely sandy beaches. One is very windy and attracts windsurfers, another is more remote and accessible via the swing bridge, and yet another can be found next to the Tourist Office.
Paulilles coves
In the protected site of Paulilles bay, the coves unfurl in a landscape that undulates between sea and mountains. Some can be reached by car, others only on foot, to offer some choice spots to bathers. The gentle lapping of the waves generates a feeling of ultimate fulfilment which is only enhanced by the spectacle of nature.
