Group classes
Look after yourself when you’re on holiday! Group classes include outdoor fitness sessions and aquagym in our pool heated to 28°C. You can also join our relaxation sessions or yoga classes in the Tropi’Lodge gazebo. Each activity is designed to offer you a wellbeing experience in a warm and friendly atmosphere.

Sports facilities
The installations at Le Tropicana have been designed with the whole family in mind. Challenge your family to a game of ping-pong, a match at the sports ground or a few rounds on the petanque pitch. Throw yourself into a friendly beach volleyball tournament or kick off your day with a game of badminton as the sun comes up.
Our tip: Join in with family activities such as our mini Olympics or the Color Run, to strengthen the bond and share fits of laughter.
Evening entertainment
After dusk, it’s time to party! Evenings at Le Tropicana are about sharing a passion for music with the local bands who come here to perform live. Enjoy the warm and friendly atmosphere and make memories of those magical moments with your loved ones.

Take the plunge: watersports adventures at Les Mouettes beach
Just 800 metres from the campsite, the beach of Les Mouettes is a larger-than-life playground for fans of aquatic sensations. Its vast stretch of golden sand and calm waters make this family-friendly beach a firm favourite. Novices and experienced athletes alike will find just what they’re looking for. Top tip: the watersports centre at Saint-Jean-de-Monts has more than one string to its bow:
- Introduction to paddleboarding or kayaking: explore along the coast the gentle way, visiting remote coves that can only be reached by sea. Paddleboarding is the perfect combination of relaxation, physical exercise and a chance to admire the seascape.
- Sailing and catamaran sailing: enthusiasts can sign up for a tuition course or rent a boat from the sailing clubs on the beach. For your safety, qualified instructors are on hand to guide you through the handling of your vessel.
- Jet skiing and tubing: for thrilling sensations, try jet skiing or ride on an inflatable tube towed by a speedboat. It’ll have you in fits of laughter!
- Beach foraging and sea fishing: introduce your children to beach foraging or, if you’re into game fishing, take to the sea to fish for mackerel or bass.

Heading off for a family adventure
The area surrounding the Sunêlia Le Tropicana campsite has no shortage of trails to explore for the perfect family hiking experience. Here are a few suggestions to help you explore the nature and heritage of the Côte de Lumière:
- The Corniche Vendéenne: go for a walk along the iconic coastal path of Vendée . Between the cliffs and the beach, you’ll see some breathtaking scenery and enjoy stunning views over the ocean. Curious visitors absolutely must see the Puits d’Enfer!
- The forests of Saint-Jean-de-Monts: cross these vast stretches of woodland on foot or by mountain bike . The designated cycle paths make it a safe and easy trip, ideal for families with children.
- Pointe d’Arçay nature reserve: observe rare species of birds and admire the wildlife and vegetation of this unspoilt site. A great idea for an educational excursion with young children.
- Noirmoutier: this island can be reached by car or bicycle. Its diverse landscape includes salt marshes, unspoilt beaches and beautiful villages such as Le Vieil and L’Herbaudière.
