lovely pool area, well stocked shop, great location. Staff were very friendly and accommodation was spacious and clean.
Check-in process could work better, no one could check in till 5 which lead to a very long queue. Pools and slide are quite cold.
Beautiful location, superb facilities on the campsite, new toilets/showers, fantastic lagoon. Reception staff at Chateau Arnoux very friendly and helpful. Pitch was level and well designed.
Main hippocampe site incredibly busy! Hope that as the Chateau Arnoux site is developed more facilities are added to cope with high numbers at high season
Great swimming pools. Takeaway. Restaurant. Entertainment. Accommodation. Location. Scenery
The shop
Great pool areas. We absolutely loved the lagoon And bar area. Toilets were very clean and perfect for children
Unfortunately our camping pitch didn’t have any shade at all so we couldn’t spend any time at our tent during the day. We assumed there would be shade so didn’t bring a gazebo or other shade. It was so hot, we couldn’t prepare food in our campervan during the day. During the evening the pitch was lovely, but we struggled to stay out all day with coming back to the tent to relax with two children. Also, as a coeliac, there was very little food for me to eat onsite safely. Everything contained gluten. When I ordered a Greek salad, they had run out. It was very difficult to eat.
Super new toilet block. Quiet on chateau arnoux side but great facilities on Volonne side. Restaurant and staff were great.
Pitches need grass and levelling, assume this will be improved before next summer. We understand site is very new. Would be good to add some lighting on path between sites. WiFi on chateau arnoux side would be good too. Lifeguards were pointless, spent time chatting to girls and on phones.
Excellent location for teens, (Disco, pools, river activities,...) TAOS bungalow, nice and well equipped (several technical issues, but the technical team was very quick and efficient) security team inside the campsite
Undersized infrastructure (pool, bar) for the number of guests (for a 5 stars)
The Dutch receptionist at Chateau Arnoux was so lovely and helpful. The showers and lagoon were beautiful.
It was way too busy by the end of our trip and it seemed like more and more people were being packed in every day. Queue for the showers and toilets, no space in the shade at the lagoon. More shade is needed! Food choices at the lagoon could be vastly improved. More shade needed on campsite in the heat of summer - our pitch was in direct sun from 8-7 and it was way too hot. Those with shade could sit on their pitch, we couldn’t.
Accommodation was very good. The location is excellent.
Food isn’t great. Not enough sun beds or parasols and they are uncomfortable.
Pools, weather, week programe
Sanitari/bathing/wc facilities
The pools and the pitch were nice.
A bit far to the service house and there weren’t enough of them:
Pool area - entertainment - the campister is clean
Fantastic riverside pitches. Welcoming staff
Surface around the swimming pools. Shop.
Great site, helpful staff
Nothing
Spacious plots. Beautiful pool complex and great location
Nothing
We had a wonderful stay at this campsite for 8 nights. The reception staff were very friendly and welcoming. They were also knowledgeable with the area and a thanks to Rosemary for her mountain knowledge. The only blot on our stay was a less than helpful waitress in the restaurant, who smelt of alcohol and was less than enthusiastic. It’s a shame our stay was fantastic. The pool complex was very good with 2 x pools, 1 child pool and a nice set of slides. The toilet facilities were clean and tidy. Overall a good stay I would recommend.
As above
Friendly and knowledgable staff. Large and well placed pitch with privacy. Excellent swimming pool facilities. Great location on the river and near to the old town. Restaurant and bar on site. Beautiful flowers and well kept grounds.
All good
Great site and facilities, very friendly staff, great choice of events and activities

We were here with our families and all age groups were catered for. Very friendly staff. Food and drink good.
Uncomfortable bed coverings. Table worn and chipped. Shower head fitting loose. Excessive cleaning regime.
Entertainment staff were fabulous, pool area was great especially the diving platform and lots of sun beds which was good. Restaurant food was very good and all staff were lovely. Archery was great. Secret of the lakes was magical
We liked the option of payment bracelets which we had at another sunelia. It also would have been good to understand the “lake” was not somewhere you can swim in
Lovely location Friendy staff Good size pitch
Too many mosquitoes Vehicle control at entrance
Amazingly clean and warm staff
Mosquitoes, toilet seats, quieter teenagers
Excellent caravan and good pool facilities.
Stop sun loungers being reserved by towels all day so nowhere to sit at the pool.
Clean, comfortable accommodation, lots of daytime and evening activities for adults and children. Friendly, helpful staff. A very well laid out site. The accommodation was surprisingly quiet in the late evening, given the number of people staying on the site.
Better choice of vegetarian/vegan food. Otherwise, the food is good.
Great pool area
Lot of building work going on which started fairly early in the morning and close to our pitch. Perhaps should have. Even completed over the winter months or we should have been advised before we arrived
